Well, it has certainly been a few days since the last post... I guess I am a slacker!! :D Tony has officially made it to NE, so I have been spending my "spare time" with him. As I expected my reading has not been as much per day as it was prior to him being here. Though, it is still daily, and at least one daily reading. I am on April 27th, and started with January 12th, on March 9th, Ash Wednesday. Although I have not reached my goal, I do believe that that is quite an accomplishment. I have read over 25% of the Bible in a little over a month!! I am pretty excited to see everything that God is providing us lately!! He is pretty awesome!! I can't wait to see what all He has in store for Tony and I in the comming months!! :D
Tomorrow is Palm Sunday. I again urge you if you are in an area that has the Passion Play that you try to make it out to one!! It is pretty awesome!! Enjoy this week, and reflect on what it is really about!! :D

I applaud your progress. Reading through the whole Bible is rough... I always have the most difficulty when I reach Jeremiah. Numbers is a tough one, but I can usually push myself through it. But for whatever reason, Jeremiah wears me out!!!

Thank you!! As you may have noticed, my favorite verse is from Jeremiah!! :D I did have a rough time with Numbers... Since March 9th, I have read Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua, and am in Judges in the Old Testament, and have read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and am in John in the New Testament. Also, about half of the Psalms, and some of Proverbs.. It has been quite the Journey. I have learned much more than I thought I would in this amount of time. I love that I can read the same passage and find something new each time! I love how that happens!! Thank you for your encouragement!!

No, it is called the One Year Bible. It has the Bible in daily readings that take approximately 15 minutes to read. Each day contains some of the Old Testament, Some of the New, about one Psalm (though sometimes it is not the whole chapter) and a couple verses of Proverbs. In the year you will have read the whole Bible, and Psalms twice.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure there are! :D I have seen a few, though this is the only one that I have seen that has this layout.. They also make it in many different versions.
